Olena Skotarenko

I graduated with honours from the Kharkiv Institute of Management with a degree in “Marketing”, and the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management with a degree in “Economics and Entrepreneurship”.

I have been engaged in industrial marketing since 2006. I started my career as a marketing expert at ATRAMAT JSC, then I held a position of Head of the Marketing Department. I joined the SPE «LUX-X» (LLC) team in 2011. Currently, I hold a position of the Deputy Marketing Director.

During my time at the company, I conducted a number of marketing studies, which resulted in the launch of several new adhesive lines, and the introduction of new product promotion and sales channels at the enterprise.

I am a regular participant of specialized conferences such as “Innovations in Packaging”, “Drinks of Ukraine”, “Packaging Industry”, “Coatings UA”, “Ukrainian Marketing Forum”. I write articles for the lux-x.com website and a number of specialized periodicals such as “Packaging”, “World of Packaging”, “World of Products”, “Furniture Business” and others.

What is used to bond a furniture edge band? Rules for choosing a hot melt adhesive
Furniture makers often use cost-saving materials: chipboard or MDF. After being cut, the edges of parts look unattractive and require further finishing. Furniture raw edges are finished using a process known as edgebanding. This is a method for finishing an exposed edge of a workpiece. It protects the surface from mechanical damage and moisture and reduces the liberation of formaldehyde from the base material of furniture parts.

Water resistance and strength of PVA “Lux” bondings are confirmed by UkrSEPRO Certificate.
According to test results of adhesive bondings water resistance, the samples bonded with adhesive PVA “Lux” meet requirements of increased water resistance, DSTU BV.2.6-170:2011. This classification is similar to D3 water resistance class of European standard EN 204.
